VIDEO GAMING INFORMATION

Gaming Regulations

​

There are a variety of laws and restrictions that apply to gaming jurisdictions, qualifications, signage and advertising. Please contact one of our team members to discuss your needs or visit our FAQ page for answers to common questions. Some helpful links are provided below.

Some of the prerequisites needed to acquire a gaming license:

​

  • Refer to RS 27:427 for suitability requirements.

  • The entity that applies must be registered with the State of Louisiana and authorized to do business in Louisiana.

  • In order to qualify for a device owner’s license, the applicable residency requirements must be met.

  • All permits, the lease and the gaming application must be in the same entity name.

  • All local, state, and federal tax filings for the business and individual(s) must be current and in good standing.

  • The location must have a State Alcohol permit, Class AG or Class AR, and all permits required to legally operate the business in its respective jurisdiction.

*Once you have your video gaming license in hand you are required to watch the LSP training video.

Signage & Advertising

Compulsive Gamblers sign

A sign with the Louisiana Problem Gamblers Help Line (Toll-Free 1-877-770-7867) must be placed in bars (on the outside of the building) and restaurants (posted at the entrance of the partition to the gaming area).

Gaming Devices Inside sign

A sign stating Gaming Devices Inside and No Minors allowed is required only at restaurants. It must be posted on the entrance of the gaming area.

​

Gaming Advertising

All advertising must include the 1-800 Gamblers Hotline number and must comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
